Fully Funded PHD Scholarship Opportunity

Fully funded PHD Scholarship opportunity available for 2 candidates in New Zealand supervised by Professor Monty Sutrisna and Professor Suzanne Wilkinson

Project Title

Solving Capacity and Capability Problems in New Zealand Construction Industry

Project Description

The New Zealand construction sector suffers from poor productivity, high staff turnover and low skills and is constrained by a lack of innovation. With billions of dollars of construction projects estimated over the next 25 years, a key question from the government and the sector has been how ready is the New Zealand construction sector to deliver these.

This research aims to develop a smart system that enables a shared understanding of horizontal and vertical infrastructure planning and delivery and the sector’s ability to deliver. An outcome of this research is the prioritisation of projects to minimise uncertainty around delivery.

The PhD studentships will be supervised by Professor Monty Sutrisna and Professor Suzanne Wilkinson
