Keynote Title: Making The Modern Construction Management Professional
Biography:
Graham Teede is an experienced Building Professional with extensive experience across Commercial and Residential Building Projects and Civil Concrete Works including Underground Civil Concrete Works. A Carpenter Joiner by Trade he has continued to study and build his career successfully completing an Associate Diploma Applied Science – Construction , Diploma in Building and Construction and a Certificate in Construction Management at UCT. He is a Chartered Building Professional and Registered Building Practitioner (WA) and a past Board Member of the Building Services Board of Western Australia. He was recently appointed as Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Building.
As a past Fellow of the Australian Institute of Building he has held various senior roles within the AIB since 2009, as past President of the Western Australian Chapter and past Senior National Vice President of the Australian Institute of Building. He is passionate about the Profession of Construction Management and established AIB National Young Builders Alliance in 2010 including being elected as the Inaugural Chair.
As Vice President of the AIB O’seas Chapter from 2012 to 2019 he successfully achieved the signing of MoU’s between the AIB and the University of Pretoria, University of Cape Town, SACPCMP and initiated the signing of an inaugural MoU with the Nigerian Institute of Building and continues to work in strengthening ties with the Profession and Universities between Australia and South Africa. Following this relationship in 2019 he was invited to join the Advisory Council of the Construction Management Foundation in South Africa. In 2019 he was asked to assist in providing advice to the establishment of the Construction Network South Africa.
In 2016 he was awarded an Australian Honour a Medal in the Order of Australia for Services to the Building Industry and the Building Profession.
